AUCKLAND.
We have received but three Auckland papers by the Overland Mail, which came in on Frid.iy forenoon — the New Tiealander of the Ist and 4th, and the Southern Cross of the 3rd instant ; the missing files will probably reach us by the Rebel, which was advertised to sail on the 4th instant, wind and weathpr permitting. The I.adv Clarke, from London, bound for this place, arrived at Auckland on the 24th ultimo. We refer our readers to our Shipping column for her list of passengers and cargo. A Government Gazette was published on the 4th insrant, and contains a Proclamation disallowing " An Ordinance lo autho-ri-c the raising of a Loan lor the purchase of Native Lands within the Province of New Plymouth" by command of his Excellency the, Officer administeutiE; the Government. Our contemporaries contain no later information on the all engrossing topic, European war.
