Tin 1 Rosobud made a fair passage of 16 days from Sydney, having left on the 12th ultimo. She han brought n general cargo of merchandise, and lins procr-eded to Whanganui with the effects of Mciiri. Troweek nnd Morgan, who have lately left us. Since the Roichud was here last Captain Watt lino changed from the Governor Grey into the Rosebud. Captain Taylor having retired from the sen. Caplain Watt reports thnt a vesicl, lately purchased in Sydney for the New Zealand trade, was to leavo Sydney a few days after 'he Rosebud, wilh a cargo of cattle and sheep, for Wellington. Tho Titan, hence tho 15th ultimo, arrived at Wellington on the 19th. The Government brig Victoria sailed for Canterbury and Otaco on the l7tb tilt., calling at Nelhon and Tarnnaki, on her way bark, for tho Mem* hi m of the General Assembly. — Wellingtou tatorThe barque Dnlhounie, which left London on the 13th of October, bound for Sydney, with n, lnrgo number of passengers, woo totally losi off Dungencsn, and every soul periihed, anvo one ! No trace had been discovered of Sir .John Franklin's expedition. The consort ship of the Pbconix, The Ereadnlbnnc, (in a torching expedition) had been lost, and Lieut. Bellot, a gallant officer of the French imperial nnvy, had been drowned. The Frolic 12, Commander Nolloth, was taken in dock on Monday to bo fitted out. She 13 to relieve the Fantomc, 12, Captain Gcnnys, on the New Zealand and Australian station, the Juno, 26, .Gaplaui S. Frcemantlc, as we have before stated, relieving Ihe Calliope. The report respecting the appointment of Captain Ersklue appears to be incorrect.
