IN pursuance of a requisition signed by a number of persons residing in the immediate and more remote vicinity of " Barret t*s Reserve," iv the district of Omata, inviting me to hold Divine Service among them, it has been determined on, wiih a view to meet their wishel, to erect, with the least possible delay, a Congre* guthinal Place of Worship in that locality. In furtherance of the above object, an. eligible Building Site, abutting the tain Road,* has been presented to myself and others by Mr. Henry Wright, of this Settlement, and already conveyed to us in trust, in a deed of gift for that purpose. The inhabitants of New Plymouth and its vicinity are, therefore, respectfully solicited to aid by thei^ (contributions a project ho reasonable in itself, and one which involves the moral and religious improvement of tho settlers in that district. Subscriptions towards the intended Building will bo thankfully received by the Messrs. Burton, in the Ohiata Block ; by Messrs. Gledhill, W. R.King, and W.
