ANAESTHETICS ON TAP.

A unique central anaesthetising plant is being installed in St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, at a cost of over £200,000. The plant, the first ever installed in a hospital in Britain, will lie erected in a building at the rear of the operating theatre. When it is complete, the gas will be led through pipes to the operating rooms, and this will do away with the present system of carrying heavy cylinders.
