ENTERTAINMENTS.

TEMUKA PICTURES. The new Beery-Hatton melodiumatic comedy, “The Big Killing, which will be shown at Temuka tonight, deals with a family feud war among the moonshine-making mountaineers in the backwoods. In this picture, the trivial incidents which inspire men to hatred and war are reviewed from a humorous angle, without distortion, but with plenty of fun. The inter-family warfare is serious enough, but the whole situation subordinated to the comic element. Throughout the picture a romantic love story is woven, with Mary Brian and Gardner Janies in the principal roles. Good suppoiting pictures will also be screened. GER ADDIN’ E MUNICIPAL THEATRE. ,An unusual theme in pictuie stories is provided in the Universal picture, “The Body Blow,” featuring Jack Daugherty. A professional wrestler challenges a champion boxer to a bout in which both use their own methods of lighting, and the ultimate scenes, in which a demonstration of the possible result is shown, provides a great thrill tor the screen patrons of the Geraldine Municipal Theatre to-night. The storv, which is written round this unique contest, is delightfully interpolated with a romance between a handsome young boxer and a pretty worker whom he had saved from a disagreeable mauling in an underworld cafe. It concerns a theft of a valuable necklace for which the hero is blamed, and. after his arrest, his subsequent escape and adventures to trace the real thief and clear his own name.

On Thursday. Ramon Novarro will be seen in “A Certain Y otuig Man.”
