COMPLETE DISPOSAL SALE. Buyers from Auckland, to Invereargilf. were among the large and l'epresentaitive; ; aftend'ance which was present at the disposal sale of Messrs Murray and Martin's Ohape Stud- Farm near Temuka on Thurs* day. The sale was conducted by the Canterbury .Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association, Lid., in conjunction with/Messrs Newton King Ltd. (New Plymouth) and a complete clearance of both cattle and horses was effected at satisfactory prices. Mr G.-R..M...Jones (chief auctioneer for the; C.F.C.A.) , welcomed the buyers and others interested,, and gave a short history of the ""■" stud and the reasons lor its disposal/Mr E. Griffiths acted as sales'manager;' and Messrs Leonard ;T. V Wood (C.F.C.A.) and F. Cameron (Newton King Ltd.) wielded the hammer' in turn, •...■••,.•'■■ Top price for "the stud Jerseys was made by the purebred' Cow, Natalies' Ninuete (imported, .from Jersey Island) .wlvic'ir was purchased, at the satisfactory figure of 360 gns. by Mr Truby King, of Stratford, Taranaki. The'imported .Jerseybull "Sunny Lad" realised 200 gns, and it is pleasant to be able to report tliat this filne specimen will remain In the district. A feature of the Jersey sale was the keen demand for heifer' calves "by the imported sires, the crop of 18 netting the good average of 24-gns. At the conclusion of the Jersey sale, the small, but select stud" of Clydesdales was submitted, and again every lot was sold under the hammer to good competition. Three Clydesdale stallions made, an-aver-age of SO gns, and five stud mares averaged SO gns.
