SALVATION ARMY.
Captain Burt let t, officer in charge of the Geraldine Salvation Army Corps, is a ni-vn believer in the training of the young people. They are tli-? citizens of to-morrow, and every effort put forward in their interests spiritually, mentally and physically, will tend to make them-men and women whom parents and Empire will be proud of. The Salvation Army realises that its future depends upon the children of to-day, and capable, well-fitted men and women are devoting time and talents to this very important branch of the Army's work. At the present 'time Captain BartleU has a number of the local young ir.lople in hand, and is training them for a huge demonstration which will take place on Tuesday, .May 2Dili. Over twenty spectacular items are being arranged for, including action songs, drills, recitations, and Maori songs; and on that night the Geraldine public will have the opportunity of witnessing the talent displayed by the children. We urge everyone to encourage the young people by purchasing a ticket, and add to the success of the demonstration by tin ;ir presence theTEal.
