GERMANY.
PAYMENT IN TREASURY BILLS. WITH APPROVED GUARANTEES. LONDON, August 31. The Reparations Commission, by two votes to one, Italy not voting, rejected Sir John Bradbury's motion in favour of an unconditional moratorium to the end of the year, and unanimously adopted a Belgian proposal to allow payments to the end of the year In German Treasury, bills.
ACCEPTED BY FRENCH CABINET. PARIS, September 1. In reply to Earl Balfour's Note, the Cabinet suggests that an Allied Conference should examine the questions of debts and reparations. The Cabinet has accepted the Reparation Commission's decision.
