On March 14tn to 17th Temuka will be visited for the'first, time-by.-that talented combination of artists known as Chautauqua, which on its two previous tours of New Zealand gained instantaneous popularity with the public in every town in which jt played and the glowing praise of the Press; The programme this year, as on previous visits, is well varied and the entertainers, all of whom [have built a reputation in their own particular line, should not fail to interest, amuse and please oven the most fastidious audience. A feature, of Chautauqua is that it is so modelled as to be suitable for young and > old. Amongst those taking part in the various'entertainments are Gwendolyn Spans wick, a lyric soprano, who formerly toured with the New South Wales Orchestra with M. Henri : . Verbrugghen, Dolly Stewart, pianist • and entertainer, Warwick McKenzle, a solo violinist of outstanding merit; Winifred Windus, an American elocutionist who possesses all the requisites .of the great artist—-talent, grace, beauty, originality,) and versa- - ■tility; the Arcadian IQuartette," who V;( sing with rare effect.Jand provide unbounded .delight to Tpatronsw.' Nor-. , man Pearce is a'pronjinent Canadian.-r; entertainer, and is sufe to be heartily-*; welcomed.
