Freezing, freight and f storage charges had been reduced and the Port of London authorities had given an assurance that all facilities for the discharge of produce would be afforded to New Zealand ships. The London ment trade had. stirred up and New Zealand prices had already advanced considerably beyond the slump level. The Government actuaries in London estimated" that the New Zealand people had "already benefited to the extent of one and " a-half millions sterling. The producers were not out to corner the market.
