Questioned regarding Dr. McKibbon’s statement regarding the Health Department, the Hon. C. J. Parr said that he did not care to discuss the matter. Dr McKibbon had been 01i dered to report to headquarters, 1 where the head of the Department and the Public Service Commissioner would deal with the matter. At the usual monthly meeting of the Executive Committee of the South Canterbury Employers’ Association, reference was made to the death of Mr W. Pryor, late secretary of the N.Z. Employers’ Federation. A motion was carried'that a letter' of condolence nd sympathy be forwarded to Mrs Pryor in her great bereavement. Reference was made by several members to the' zeal and assiduity to his duties displayed by the late secretary, and it was stated that he was one of the hardest workers m New Zealand. His work was ,endless, his organising powers were ! marvellous, and his concentration to | the duties imposed on him by his ! office ps a source of admiration to I all with whom he had to deal. "
