HOW ONE WORM TURNED.
The quiet, patient little man had been pushed about and trodden on by the other passengers on the crowded street car. For a long time ho suffered in silence. The youth stared at him for a moment, and replied, "Eighteen." "■Eighteen," .repented the little man, softly. "Now. really, young man, don't you think that you arc old enough to stand on your own feet?" BALLOON CAKES. Mix two tonfipootifnls of yeast with four of cream, add to it six tablesnoonfuls of flower to make a Sight dough. Set it to rise in a warm place, 1101 l out the paste very thin, and afterwards cut it with the cdg-8 of a, wine glass, or with, a pasto cutter imto cakes. Bake on tins for four minutes.
