BAZAAR.
TEMUKA BRASS BAND. LADIES’ MEETING. A meeting of ladies interested in 'providing uniforms for the Tonnika Municipal Brass' Baud was Bold in Mr W. F. Evans* ollice on Thursday evening. A number of apologies for absence were received, with promises to attend the next meet hug. The -Mayoress (Mrs J. T. jM. Hayhurst) presided. It was unanimously resolved to hold a bazaar, and the following! stallholders were appointed : Produce : Mrs Burtonshaw and Mrs Anderson.
Fancy : Mrs Benbow. Lollies—Misses Holwoll and Norton. Toys and Bran Tub —Misses Double and Radburnd. Those appointed as above were authorised to appoint (heir own assistants. Appointments to refreshment, [lower, and other stalls were held over 1 until ' the next meeting. .Mrs Bates was appointed viccchairwoman. An oiler of a suit, of clothes at cost price, for a competition, was received with thanks from Messrs Pearson and Co. Tlic matter of an art union, novelty competitions, tug-of-war, entertainments, etc., was loft in the hands of the Band CommitteeIt was resolved to hold the next meeting on Tuesday next, at 7.J0 p.m., in Mr Evans’ office. A vote of thanks to Mr Evans for the use of his ollice, and to the Mayoress for presiding, terminated the meeting.
