He relates :—"I put your cover on a horse that was turned out, .but that always came home at night to be fed. One night there was no sign of the horse, and the third night too passed without any sign of hirci. I then went i^jit' to look for him, thinking that the brute had' torn off his cover and was ashamed to show up. When I found him he was hitched to a wire •fence, of which he had pulled up chains without starting the cover. A horse inside one of your covers and caught on a fence for sure starvation.
