'Thomas, aboard an Antionetta, planed downwards at high speed, and narrowly escaped a Ruggerduo. His machine then struck Captain Hickson’s biplane. The machines became locked together and fell 100 feet, and the cylinders exploded. Thomas had a marvellous escape, sustaining only severe bruises. Dickson was more severely Injured, but has recovered consciousness. The Count of 'Turin and the Buko of Abril zzi witnessed the accident. Dickson visited Australia and New Zealand as a member of the party of the present King, then Prince of Wales.
