': Mr J. C. Rolleston was in Temuka yesrerday. Mr A. B. Maides, teller at the Union Hank, Geraldine, has been promoted to Nelson. Mr Maides, whe left yestereay to t»ke up his new position, will be very much missed iu tennis, cricket, and other circles. The Rev. T. Coatsworth left Temuka for 1 shburton yesterday afternoou, to attend tl e sitting of the District Synod of the Primitive Methodist Church. Mr J.
