■The Temuka Bowling Club) ,ppen then - ! .season on Thursday afternoon at 2.15' p.m., and through the medium of outadvertising columns invite all bowlers and friends to moot at the green. The caretaker (Mr Judson) has bestowed a lot of care this year in getting tin; green in first-class order, and by its appearance at present players of the green in iirst-c.ass order, and by its appearance at present, players of the good old ganuv should, havu many pleasant battles during the season. We notice a few improvements at the pavilion this year. A number of hat pegs have been put up, and will be a great convenience to players. Those 1 were given by Z\lr E. Brown, who also guve the tirnhjer. (Other donations were given by Mr J. Cooper, ])r Rugg and Mr Achcson. The latter, although not a member, donated a soft hair broom. Br Rugg has given valuable assistance in putting things in order. The president's 'and vice-president's wives have kindly consented to dispense afternoon tea.
