A letter from the Timaru Football Club, saying that they, would play Temuka (seniors) at a a date (to be lixo.l by the union, was approved of. it was decided 'that-, the date for the junior representative game North Otago y. South‘ Canterbury should bo July 15tin. At the request of the North Otago Union it was decided to send them a copy of the South Gan terbury Union’s tournament rules. It was resoiyed that in the, event of Nelson sending a representative team to South Canterbury the local union would grant them £ls towards expenses.
U eJiiugton adhered to their decision to omit South Canterbury on their southern tour. At the request of Otago the secretary of the union was instructed to go to Dunedin on Monday to identify a player V. Duvall, who is alleged to be playing illegally, being a disqualified Northern Union man. Air E. D. Allott reported the order: ing off of J. Kirby (Celtic juniors] and J. King (Pirates juniors) for lighting during a match played on Thursday. Air Allott regretted he could, not give the name of the player who struck King, and was the cause of the incident, as he did not see him. Both men were disqualified for twelve months', and ponding enquiry, Lynch was suspended and ordered to appear befose the committee on Friday night. With regard to the case of Jamieson (Point), it was decided that if it was proved that he did play on Thursday, the captain of the Point Club would be disqualified till next Monday,
Ml- E. M. Halstead, referee for the Point v. Celtic match at the Point, complained that at the end ot the game J amioson hooted him and used foul language in the presence of la dicta.—After deliberation, the Union disqualified Jamieson for three years. A general meeting of delegates was then hold. Present —Messrs Shirtolifi’e, W. Drake, H. Holdernoss, K. Bain, C. S. Maslin, T. Knowles, H. Kennedy, A. Cuthhcrt, A. Smith, 11. Dodgers, S. Simmers, \V. Jordan, Eov. Father Ivcrloy, W. T. Mabeu, and 11. H. F raser, secretary. As Mr Pearson was absent, his notice of motion for alteration of certain rules was postponed and several other alterations were made. •Mr Cuthhcrt introduced the decisions of the committee regarding the recent ordering off of live men, and the decisions were upheld.
