CRICKET.
TEMUKA v. GERALDINE
A cricket match between Temuka and; Geraldine was played on the Geraldine; oval on Saturday. The weather was dull and threatening, but the wicket was in fairly good order, in spite of the heavy soaking of the previous day. Geraldine proved much too good for the visitors, defeating them by 67 runs and 7 wickets. Crawshaw (34) and Bradmore (19) were the only Temuka players to reach double figures, the others being all dismissed for 25, Howden being responsible for the majority of the, wickets. Howden and McDonald opened the innings for Geraldine. Howden, as usual, gave a vigorous display, and runs came freely. He was unfortunately run out when within 3 of bis century, which included fifteen 4's and a (5. McDonald (15) and Temple (35) also found the Temuka bowling easy.
