TEMUKA V. ASHBURTON.

A cricket match was played between tiro above-mentioned teams on Thursday fast, Teinuka winning very creditably by 28 runs. Temulva winning the toss, went first to the wickett. Ju spite of very good batting on the part of Bradmore, McKinnon, Twomey and Fisher, 'JVmuka were all got rid of for bS runs. Davison and Harper bowled best for AsMmrtom Ashbnrton went in to try and get the runs. Tlwjy were all out for CO runs, Chapman, .W. B. Denshire, and Brown batting best. The bowling of tho TV muka bowlers was very much better thai}, it has been in, recent,matches, but it was 'backed up by really splendid Holding, three of the catches being really grand efforts. It is safe to say that_if Temuka had lieldod like this all the season they would im'\'e been a diflicult team to beat. Mrs Bushel 1 kindly gave afternoon tea, which was much appreciated.
