THE TUAPEKA ELECTION.
ElhßOll IN~THE ROLLS. WELLINGTON, Juno Lb The Post states that the names of one hundred electors wore wrongly pi a,cod ion. tire roll for the recent Tuapeka byclecekm owing to an error on the p a ''t of an officer in tho Electoral Department. The rails had been made up on the basis of tho new boundaries and when Mr Dennett died, the Tuapoka list kad to be constructed on the existing basis. 54! portion of Mount Ida is included in Tuapeka in the new cv-der of things, and the clerk failed to transfer the names in question. Tho error is incidental to the change of boundaries, and' the initiation of the curd system in compiling the rolls. It is not known whether the persons wrongly on the roll voted or not.
