CRICKET.

On Saturday at Winchester the Geraldine team defeated -Winchester by eleven runs.', the scores being Geraldino 44, Winchester 33. Tho Winchester team were very punctual twelve being on the ground before their opponents arrived. Winchester batted first and only made 33, Scott's- bowling being fast mid good. J. Patorson, by steady play, carried his bat through the innings for 8 runs. For Geraldine' Chisholm put on 11, and played well for his runs. Scott's 15 was tho result of good hittibg. Turner's .eight included a beautiful hit to leg for four. Paterson bowled really well for Winchester, as his average 7 wickets for 19 runs shows. Winchester in their second innings made a much better stand. J. Paterson, going in first, was last man out, his score being 2S. J. Deßenzy's 20 included three twos two threes, and a four, all good strokes. Dr. Hislop's slow bowling tho batsmen most, and he got five wickets for 27 runs. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies of the Winchester Tennis Club, and was very much appx-eciated by 'the cricketers. Dr Crawshaw and Mr W. H.
