The Canterbury 'Farmers’ Co-Opera-tive Association, Ltd., arc in receipt of a cable message from their London ollieo dated the 20th of July, .1907, ns follows :—“Wheat —'The market ia affected favourably by American reports. Wo quote to-clay’s value on Smith field market for prime Canterbury lamb, 2Slb to 121 b, s|d ; 421 b to 4Slb, 5,Jd. The market is well supplied.”
TATTERSALL’S HORSE MARKET,
The Canterbury Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd., report on the horse market at Tattcrsall’s yards on Saturday as fo lows The entry comprised 33 draught, light harness, and hackney horses. There was n decided improvement in value of young active draught stock, Rut the supply was far short of the demand. Consequently a slight rise in value took place. Quotations ’are us follows Draughts, young) with trials, £3O, £33, £3(l, £3S 10/-, to £4O ; ditto, light and aged, £lO, £ly to £lO 10/-, light harness sorts £ll, £l6 to £IS ; hackneys £5, £7 to £9. Wc submitted to public auction the thoroughbred stallion Phucthou. This horse was looking ia excellent fettle, and was very much admired. Bidding started at lOO'gns, and at 150gns the horse was passed in, the owner stating that lie wanted more money. The Association hope to place the horse within a few days,
