TEMUKA RIFLES’ EUCHRE TOURNAMENT.
VETERANS V. PRESENT MEMBERS A very mieiVsiiug reunion was held i". the i)rill Shod last evening, when a euchre match was held between loams representing the ex-members of the Temuka Rifles and the present members. The idea of the gathering was originated by CoL.Sergt. Coira, and the whole function was undoubtedly a huge success. There were about IS tables in play, and the games were kept up with great spirit for about a couple of hours. On the points being totalled up the results proved to bo a draw, - the scores being 118 each. A tasty and bountiful supper (provided by Mrs Coira) had been laid in the Volunteer Hall, find after play was finished the Volunteers past and present, adjourned to the hall and enjoyed the good things set before them. After several speeches by ex and present volunteers a very pleasant evening- terminated. The ox-membors who were present wore Messrs Dunford, Harrison, Walker, Radford, Hobbs, Coira, Storey, Pearse, Phillips, Chapman, Husband, Norton, Anderson, Feilden, Dolman, Drew, Brown, Young, Carr, Larcombe, Leveus, Chapman, Sheen, Pritchard, Jessop, MeCaskill, Brower, Phillips, D. Henry, Hart, and Cutten.
