TEMUKA STOCK SALE. At the- fortnightly stock sale at Temuka there was a small yarding of sheep, only, about 3000 head, owing to the harvest operations, but a good entry of cattle, over 100 head, and about 30 pigs. All classes of stock sold well, and values were well maintained. Sheep sold as follows " Pat butchers’ ewes 14s to 14s lOd, store 2-tooth ewes, 13s to 13 6d, cull lambs 3s 4d to 3s 7d, forward lambs Bs, 9d to 9s, good lambs 10s 6d to 11s 7d. The yarding of cattle comprised a large proportion of heifers ; 18-months’ to twoyears old at £4 17s 6d, £5, £5 2s (id l ; threei-year.olds at £5 3s 6d, £5 12s 6d. £5 17s Od, store steers £4 2s and £5 15s, do. heifers £5 ss, good steers £8 10s, cows,, springers, £9, dry cows,. £4 3s 6d, fat'eows £6' 10s to £7.
