TENNIS.

GERALDINE V. TIMARU. The match between the Geraldine County and Timaru Tennis Clubs took place on Saturday, at Geraldine, when over 70 visitors were present. The Timaru team drove out in two parties, one party in the morning, and the other in the afternoon. The weather was fine, and the match, which was very enjoyable, resulted in a win for the home team. Luncheon and afternoon tea were provided by the ladies committee of the Geraldine Club, and were much appreciated. The asphalt courts were in good order, and played well.
