TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. WEDNESDAY, 25th FEBRUARY. The afternoon train from Timaru for Orari will start at 5.45 p.m., and run 2 hours 35 minutes later than timetable times. THURSDAY, 26th FEBRUARY. The afternoon train from Timaru to Orari will start at 5.15 p.m., and run 2 hours 5 minutes later than Timetable times. MATCH AT CHRTSTCHURCH, 27th and 28th FRBRUARY, and 2nd MARCH, 1903. EXCURSION FARES. Winchester, Orari, Rangitata, and Hinds, for the Express train on 26th February ; Timaru, Tinwald, , and intermediate stations, including stations on the Mount Somers Branch, on 27th February ; all available for return till 4th March. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting o,f the Temuka Borough Council, hefd at the Council Chambers on Wednesday, the eighteenth daty; of February, 1903, the following resolution was adopted and passed :—• In pursuance and exercise of the, powers vested in it in that behalf by the "Public Health Act, 1900," "The Municipal Corporations Act r 1900," the Temuka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows : " That in order to facilitate the construction of the work of laying house drains and connecting the same with the sewers established under the Water Supply and Drainage Scheme for part of the Borough sanctioned by the Poll of Electors held on the first day of August, 1901, and the construction of which work has been recommended by the Chief Health Officer, and approved by the Minister of Public Health, the Council borrow the sum of Four Hundred Pounds for a period- of Twentysix Years, bearing interest at the rate of Four Pounds Ten Shillings per..; centum per annum under the provisions of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901," AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Council will be held at the Council Chambers on WEDNESDAY, the 25th day of March, 1903, at the hour of 7.30 o'clock p.m., for the purpose of confirming the said resolution, Dated this 23rd day of February, 1903.
