At Fitzgerald's circus at Auckland interest in the jumping competitions was intensified by the presence of two ladies well known in the hunting field there. MrsjEdwin Kelly rode Newbaven over the bar at Oft 3iu, and ?diss Abbott got Playboy, who is an old Auckland favourite, over Cft Mr Fitzgerald would like Mrs Kelly and Miss Abbott to accompany them on their Australian tour, but Mr Abbott does not favour the idea.
