IN pursuance of “ The Licensing Acts ” I, THOMAS HOWLEY, Reluming Officer for the Licensing District ot Timaru, do hereby give notice that an ELECTION will be held on the Twentyninth (29th) day of MARCH, 1900, for the RETURN OF FIYE (5) qualified persons to serve as Members of the Licensing Committee for the said District, aud that the latest day for receiving Nomination of Candidates will bo not later than Five (5) o’clock p.m. on the twenty - second (22nd) day of March instant, and that the POLL (if necessary) will be taken at the several polling places of the said district on the said twenty ninth (29th) day of MARCH, 1900, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Every person desirous of becoming a Candidate must be nominated by not less than Two Electors of the District, by a nomination paper in the prescribed form delivered to the Returning Officer, on or before 5 o’clock p.m., on the said twentysecond (22nd) day of March, 1900, accompanied by a deposit of Ten Pounds (£10).
