At Timaru on Friday a young man named John Jones was fined 20s and costs for throwing a bag of flour at a wedding party that had just come out of the Primitive Methodist Church. The flour struck the bride and damaged her clothing, and also that of the bridegroom and others. The incident caused the bride to cry, and general consternation among the party, and matters were not improved when on the Rev. C. Woodward coming out of the Church and remonstrating he wa6 invited to " Come up here, and have it out." The accused afterwards apologised and explained that he did not know Mr Woodward.
