CHRISTCHURCH STOCK MARKET. At the Addington yards on Wednesday the weather was very cold and snow was lying about the yards. There was a small attendance. Eat Cattle —The 225 fat cattle included 50 bullocks from the North Island, which brought from £6 to £9 2s 6d, local steers up to £8 5s for best, and from £5 to £7 for others, prime heifers £6 to £7 10 u and others down to £3 17s 6d, good cows up to £B, and others from £3los to £6. Per 1001 b best beef sold at 16s to 17s 6d, medium to good 14s to 15s Gd, and cow and inferior down to 11s Od. Store and Dairy Cattle—Very few store or dairy cattle were in and there was a dragging sale. Fat Sheep—The 4850 fat sheep included some fair lines of freezers, which sold well at iiom 15s to 16s 3d, extra heavy wethers up to 21s, prime trade Owes were in good Remand at from 14s to 16s 3d, but other sorts sold irregularly at from 12s to 14s for medium, and down to 9s 6d for inferior and aged sorts. Fat Lambs—Fat lambs declined slightly, and freezers brought from 14s to 16s Id and butchers sorts from 10s 9d to 12s 6d. The few store wethers in brought from 11s lOd to 14s, breeding ewes 12s 3d, and lambs 9s to 11s Od. Pigs—Fat pigs wore easier, baconers soiling at 3id, and porkers 4.)d per lb. DUNEDIN PRODUCE MARKET.

Sheepskins—At auction on Tuesday last late prices were fully maintained, merinos and tine halfbrods being in excellent demand, Best dry crossbred and halfbreds ; fetch 3s 9d to 5s Gd ; medium, 2s Gd to 3s Gd ; inferior, Is 3d to 2s 31 ; pelts, 2d lo Is 2J ; best dry meriuos, 4i Gd to os 8d; medium, 2s Od to 4s 31; inferior, Is 2d to 2s C J ; pelts, Id to 10d ; best green crossbreds, 3s Od to 4s Gel; medium, 3s to os G J each Hides—A very good demand exists,and prices remain firm, say, for prime heavy ox 3|d to 3jd ; extra do, 4d to 4£d ; medium, 2jd to 3d; inferior aud light, l|d to 2d per lb. DUNEDIN STOCK MARKETS. At the Burnside Market on Wednesday the following business was transacted : Pat Cattle—loG head of fat cattle were yarded, varying from medium to good, with a few very prime. Buyers requirements were limited, and competition was therefore not brisk. Prices ruled on a par with last week. Best bullocks sold at Hi 17s 6d to £9, medium £6 10s to £7 10s, light £4 15s to £5 17s 6d, best cows £5 10s to £G 7s Od, medium £4 to £4 15s, light and aged £2 5s to £3 15s. Fat Sheep—Only 1085 f-i b sheep were penned. G ood to prime wethers met with fair competition, but ewes with only moderate attention. On the whole prices were on a par with last week, and in a few instances were slightly higher owing to superior quality. Best crossbred wethers sold at 15s Gd to IGs Od, a few pens 17s to ISs, medium to good 13s 6d to 15s 3d, best crossbred ewes 13s 9d to 15s 3d, medium to good 10s 6d to 12s Od. Pat Lambs—3Go fat lambs were penned. Best brought 12s 6d to 14s 3d, medium 9s Gd to 12s, inferior Ss to Os 3d. Pigs—Only 37 pigs were penned. All sold readily; suckers at 14s to 15s Cd, slips 10s to 245, stores 26s to 30s, porkers 32s Gd to 40s Gd, baconers 40s to 555, choppers 5Ss to 665. AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Sydney, July 2G.
