Bell's dairy factory, Henwood road, near Now Plymouth, owned by Mr J. Crockett, was destroyed by tire at halfpast ono o’clock on Sunday morning. Insurances aro Building £2OO, plant £-100, in tho Norwich Union. The loss is estimated at 50 per cent more. The supposed cause of tho fire is a spark from the boiler fire. Owing to over-crowding and bad ventilation, tho air of the schoolroom is often close and impure, and teachers and pupils frequently suffer from lung and throat troubles.
