GERALDINE TROTTING CLUB.
At tho annual mooting of the Geraldine Trotting Club, hold in the Crown Hotel, there was present a fair attendance. Tho balance-sheet, showing a credit balance of £1 2s Bd, was read, and Mr Poarpoint (in the chair) stated that owing to the wet weather tho meeting had to be postponed, which caused tho expenses to be much greater, hence the small balance to credit. —On tho motion of Mr White, seconded by Mr Farrell, the balance-sheet as read was adopted. Proposed by Mr White and seconded by Mr Turner—” That a hearty vote of thanks be accorded to Mr W. K. Macdonald for the use of his paddock, and that the secretary formally notify him of same.” —Carried. Mr Wilson Smith proposed and Mr Farrell seconded—“Thata trotting meeting will beheld if the committee see their way clear to carry it through.”—Carried. Mr W, T. Turner proposed and Mr Farrell seconded—“ That it be a recommendation to the incoming committee that the trotting meeting be held on April 23rd.” —Carried. The following officers were then elected: President, Mr Pearpoint; vice presidents, Messrs White and Button ; committee, Messrs C. Hammond, A. Brown, W. T. Turner, J. Farrell, Geo. Bethune, J. Dooley, H. Coulter, R. Clephane, Jos. Bryan, A. O’Neill, and F. W. Woruer; treasurer, Mr J. Farrell; hon. sec., Mr A. Erskine; clerk of course, Mr R. Clephane; clerk of scales, Mr F. W. Woruer; starter, Mr R. H. Pearpoint; haudicapper, Mr Goo. Dowse. A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting.
