THE POSTAL CONFERENCE.
Hobart, Feb. 8
The Conference completed business this afternoon. A universal telegraph code vocabulary was favourably regarded, but the conference would not commit itself to the code issued by Berne. In case of an interruption of the cable it was recommended that press messages be given precedence. The next Conference will be held in Melbourne.
