Hunt Club tool place "on Mr Squire's farm, Wai-it: road, Timaru, on Thursday last, anc was particnhrlv well attended and successful. Visitors were present from al. parts of the district. Hunt Club Cup, a handicap steeplechase of 35 sovs; the second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stakes; open to all hunters; certificate of master of hounds for 1891 to be produced at scales; about 2£ miles. Ladies' Bracelet, of 10 sovs; for qualified hunters only; horses must be nominated by ladies, and master of hounds' certificate for 1891 be produced at scales; about 2 miles. Miss Clarkson's b g Glen, aged, 12st 21b (Mr Aynsley) 1 Miss Frankish's b g Bob, 6yrs, lOst 91b (Butserworth) 2 Mrs G. P. Cornelius, the rider of Stanley, was thrown, and a boy was knocked down by Juggler at the finish. Neither were seriously hurt. Totalisator—£ls4; dividend, £2.
