ENGLISH MARKETS. London, April 18. The total quantity of wool catalogued op to date is 186,000 bales, of which 134,000 have been sold. 1550 casks tallow have been offered for sale, 1225 being disposed of; Tallow, medium mutton, 2ds; beef, 24a 6d. The English wheat, market shows a general advance of Is. Continental and American markets are still advancing, and the latter is showing 'increased firmness. Forward business 'with the Australian colonies is firm at !an advance. The arrivals of foreign i wheat are large. There are no Australian shipments of wheat off coast or at ports of call. New Zealand rabhitskins, fair to good, Is Bd. April 20. South Australian four per cents, i have declined 1 per cent Colonial istocks generally are-weak. 1 Colonial oatsj 25a 6d; beans, 34a 6d ; peas, 83s 6d. | The consigement of apples ex. s.s. Arawa, from New Zealand, is selling at from 10s to 20s a case. I The wool market continues firm. The Canterbury Frozen Meat and Dairy Produce Exnort Company have received telegraphic advice, dated London, April 18th, that the average price for their brand of frozen meat is I—Mutton, per lb; lamb, 7fd per lb. ; The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have 'received the following cable message from London, dated 17th April [ Tallow—There is a rather better demand. Fine mutton tallow has declined 8d per cwt. since last report. Good beef tallow quotations unchanged. Froxen Meat—Mutton market is quiet. Price of mutton has declined pne-eightb of a penny per lb since last report. Lamb market is dull. Prime &ew Zealand lambs are worth per carcase sfd per lb. Beef market unchanged,
