At a meeting at Dunedin of the creditors of Joseph Haosby, late master of the Hawea, who was arrested and brought back from the B off, it was resolved .0 ht him proceed to Melbourne. In his evidence the bankrupt stated that he had sent £l6 or £l7 to bis wife in Melbourne hy (he purser of the Manapouri, and had given £8 to Mr Wurbrick, the footballer to take care of. His gold watch he had given for £5 to Mr linddelsiOD, a traveller, of whom lie knew co'hirg beyond that he sometimes sinyed at Wellington.
