STAR OF BETHLEHEM.

TO THE EDITOR. ' SiEj—ln reference to your local in paper of to-day re 6tar of Bethlehem, the variable star supposed to be the Star of Bethlehem is in the constellation Cassiopeia, and cannot be seen south of 30 degrees south latitude. It would moreover, unless I am mistaken, rise four hours after the sun, whereas I think the planet Yenus rises about three hours before the sun, but I have not yet been up early enough to see it, but intend to be so’ —Yours, etc., 1.8. A. January 21,1888. P.S.—January 22—Tip this morning at 8 a.m. The star, whatever it is, was splendid, and well worth turning out to look at.
