AUCTIONEERS' REPORT.
GERALDIHE. Messrs J. Mundell and Co. report sales for the week ending Saturday 15th Oct., 1887, 83 follows : At the Geraldine monthly sale on Wednesday, an average entry of stock was yarded, notwithstanding the flooded condition of the rivers and creeks. In sheep the bulk of the entry consisted of hoggets. During the sale there was a decided improvement in favor of sellers, evary lot changing hands at considerably over owner's valueß. The totals yarded were— J 094 sheep, 74 head of cattle, 8 pigs. Sheep—Fat and cressbreds, 2 and 4-tooth, sold at 9s Bd, 9s 9d, and 12s 3d. Storea- 2-tooths, 9s; heggets sold at 5a 3d, 6s, 6s 4d, 6s 6d, 6s 7d, to 7s Bd. Cattle—Three-year-old store steeis and heifers sold at £3 153 ; cows (fat), £4 to £5 ; cows (springing), £3 12s 6d, £3 15s 6d, to £5 ; 2-year-old steers and heifers, £2 2a6d to £2 14s; yearling do., £1 5s to £110a; calves, 13s; dry cows, £1 to £2 ss.
Pigs—Small stores sold well at 10s. There is a good demand for young stores, and those wishing to sell should'ferward to next monthly dale, as they will meet with a good market.
