DUNEDIN RACES. Dunedin, Feb. 23. The weather is all that could be desired for the races 10-day. There is a light aou’-westerly breeze blowing, but a strong sun, and the course is in capital condition considering the late rains. When the proceedings opened there were 5000 persons present. Owing to the police enforcing the regulations against overcrowding cars the people experienced considerable delay in reaching the course. Apropos and Silver Prince have been scratched for the Publicans’ Handicap. The following are the results ; Hurdles. Aroha 1 Borderman ... ... -2 Kingask 3 Won easily. Time—3min 2£sec. Champagne Stakes. Gipsy 1 King Kimberley 2 St. Swithin 3 Time—l min 20seo. Dunedin Cup, of 1000 so vs; 2 miles and a distance. Mr R. J. Mason’s cb m Spade Guinea 7st 12lb (Huxtable) 1 Mr O’Brien’s Rubina, Bst 21b (Darritt) 2 Mr J. F. LeSeur’s Hermitage, 7st 61b (Moore) 3 Time—3min 64f sec.
