Sir Arthur Blylh, who- spoke for his colleagues, congratulated Sir Henry on his appointment, and assured him of the assistance of the Agents-General, Replying, the Secretary for the Colonies thanked them for their good wishes, and declared their advice would be especially valuable to him in view of the forthcoming colonial conference, Dr Roberts, Bishop of Nassau, has been appointed coadjutor to the Bishop of Manchester, Jan. 18. ' The Standard to-day states that the Cabinet have resolved to intrpcluce at the commencement of tbe session a Bill combating American, conspiracy with regard ,to Irish affairs, and ; which will provide for trial by special jury. ■ Calcutta, Jan. 16.
