The object for which this Prospectus is submitted to the Publio is, tofloateeompany for the pvroose of manufacturing Jam and Preserving Fruit. 2. During the past few few years large quantities of Fruit hare gone to absolute waste in this district, owing to there being no Market for the sale of it, and thus an avenue through which much wealth might be acquired is at present shut up. Everyone must recognise that it is desirable to open upthla avenue as soon as possible; also that the district is admirably adapted for fruit, growing, and that is an industry whieh would provide profitable employment for junior members of families owning email areas of land. ## 3. Furthermore the most diligent inquiries have led to the belief that the manufacture of Jam and the preserving of Fruit is very remunerative, and Shares in the proposed Company may reasonably be expected to pay good dividtpad, , ..... L 4. |t is understood that the district at present produces sufficient fruit to make between forty and fifty tons of jam a yen, and if the proposed Factory is established, and the people are thus provided with a certain market for their fruit, the supply will doubtless greatly inersaee, and the industry will proportionately expejd., I. On these grounds the Provisional Directors are consent of success, and there* fore express a hope that fruit-growers and others will see the desirability of taking up up shares at once, so oa to «n»b> op«r*tiens bo taken »p> a* to avoid having|;to pay I interest oa borrowed capital
