A: y present trustee moy transfer the management of trust property to the Public Trustee, who will thereupon hold such property upon the original trust attaching thereto, Any person, company, assooiation'or public body within or without the colony, may place any property belonging to them in charge 6f the Public Trustee upon trust for such uses as may be defined in the deed creating the trust. Any building, land, or friendly society may, by its rules, provide that property belonging to it may be placed in the Public Trust Office, for such trusts and uses and with such powers as may be defined in or by the said rules. The advantages offered are Ist. .State Guarantee against peculation, fraud or dishonesty, 2nd, All proposed investments are con* sidered by a Board, consisting of the Hon. Colonial Treasurer, the Attorney-General, the Comptroller and Auditor-General, the Government Insurance Commissioner, and the Public Trustee, Careful consideration of all securities offered it is therefore insured. 3rd. The Public Trustee in his corporate capacity never dies, never leaves the colony, and never becomes incapacitated, thus avoiding the many inconveniences resulting from frequent fresh appointments of trustees, necessitated by death, change of abode, or mental or bodily infirmity. 4th. Punctuality and promptitude in the remittance of periodical payments to bene fioiaries under trust or will to any part » the colony, at which it may be desired that payment should be made. sth. On estates such as are now being considered the Public Trustee is authorised to charge H per cent, on all receipts, and 1J per cent, or all disbursements, and ss, per cent, on all moneys invested. No charge is made for obtaining probate, nor for passing stamps and property tax returns, nor for correspondence, however voluminous. Thus the saving to estates placed in this office is considerable.
