Vice-President, Mr Gk H. Rhodes, gives a oup, value £lO, for the best horse that has hunted with any reoognised paok. The same to be entered in either class 151 or 158. The Hunt Clubs of South Canterbury give a prize of £6 6s for the best Light-weight Hunter. Mr IT. LeOren, on behalf of the N.Z.L, and M.A. Company, offers a Gup, of the value of £lolOi, for the best pen of not lets than twenty (20) Sheep in the wool, suitable for freezing for export; open to all Farmers not occupying or owning more than 3000 norei of land, the Sheep ttf have been bred and fattened by exhibitor. The Cup will not be awarded unless there be at least six exhibitors, but it will be available for the same object at next j ear's show. Maximum nnmber of points to be 18, thus apportioned : Early maturity, 6j wool, 6; carcase, 6. Speoial entry, The Association offer a prise of £5, in addition to £5 offered by Mr William Balfour, for the best Dray Root-cutting Machine, to be drawn by not more than two horser, the roots to be dropped on the ground cut to size suitable for sheep; certainty of automatic feeding, and capability of outting the largest quantity in a given time to be specially considered ; the dray to hold not less than 15cwt of roots. The Association offer a priza of £5 for a Turnip Drill, to sow from 601 bi to2oolbs to an uore of Bone-duet or buper-phos-phate in the same drills. To sow from 6ozs to 21bs of turnip seed to the aore, suitable to sow either level or down lands. The Assooiation'.offer a prize of £3 for the best Automatic Chaff Box, for feeding sheep, to hold not less than ten bags, to be wind and water proof, and to be easily moveable. Mr James King offers a first and second prize of £3 and £2 respectively for the best yearling oolt or filly by Quamby. Mr J. Ballantyne gives a priza of £2 2s for the best Jar of Salt Butter suitable Jor export. This exhibit, game conditions as for Potted Butter, must be left with the Secretary on or before Saturday, September 25th. Mr J. Ballantyne gives a prize of £2 2s for the best Cheese suitable for export. Mr A. Grant offers a prize of £2 for the best English Leioester Ewe, with or without lamb at foot. Mr 8.
