BILL’S MATE’S LETTER.
TO THB EDITOR. Sib, —I see Bid and bis Mate bad another meeting. Tbej say I mast be blind when I did not see them at the concert. lam not blind, nor do Igo star-gazing as Bill’s Mate does, 1 defy Bill and bis Mate to prove that they were at the said concert. Bill and bis clique ought .to commence at borne lor yahoos—they could find them at their own fireside. The clique would like to have the handling and pocketing of the proceeds of the concert. It would soon go to smoke if they bad the handling of it: But they never will; I ignore them altogether. Bill and his clique are a wee bit jealous because the' “ Presbiters ” can sport a piano, and they can do more than that, they can play a piano. That is more than Bill or any of bis clique can do, 1 should advise Bill and his clique, for decency’s sake, to stick to facts before they ru-h into print. Mr Editor, 1 am not a “ college bred man” so I hope you will exenae all errors and mistakes, In conclusion, I shall take no further notice of Bill’s Mate’s correspondence. It is beneath my notice, and I shall treat it with the greatest contempt. It has been very wet weather of late, there is plenty of water on the plains, and the “ lords of the plains ” are going mad,—l am, etc., Aitoann.
