THE QUEEN AT THE EXHIBITION.

Her Majesty the accompanied by the Prince of Wales and Princess Beatrice, visited the Colonial Courts of the Exhibition on Fridny. Sir Philip Cunkffo Owen was in attendance. Messrs Berry and Bosisto conducted Her Majesty through the Victorian Court, Sir A lexander Stuart explained the exhibits ol the New South Wales section, Sir Arthur Bljlb and Sir William Davenport of the South Australian, Sir J. F. Garjick the Queensland, and Sir Francis Dilkn Bell in the New Zealand Courts. Her Majesty took gre4 interest m the portraits of Mr Dalle and the Soudan contingent. Dr Beaney explained all about the gold exhibits. Her Majesty expressed regret at the low price of wool, and commented on the fact of the comparative smallness of the population of the colonies, and the splendid exhibits by them as showing their wonderful energy. She admired the statutes of members of the Royal Family exe cuted by Messrs Boehum and Fountain for the New South Wales and V ctorian archway, the nuggets, photos, garden specimens, Sir H. B. Loch’s portrait, the aborigines’ camp, and the wine trophies. Sir Saul Samuel was present and assisted m escorting Her Majesty through the New South Wales Court. Her Majesty was then conducted through the South Australian Coart, greatly admiring the natural scenery of the grotlo and pine arch.
