Melbourne, Jan. 18. The Board of Conciliation, which hits been decided upon to settle the differences between the shipowners and their employers, will consist of eleven members, five to be appointed by oacb side, and an umpire, to be appointed by the ten delegates. A man named Beale was arrested by the police yesterday. He is supposed to hare been the leader in the recent attempted Bank robbery at Collingwdod Later. Mr Hill, manager of the -Commercial Bank, Collingwood, and several other persons have identified the prisoner Beale as - the man who assumed the leadership in the attempted robbery, The wharf-laborers went to work this morning as usual, and the loading and unloading of vessels has been actively carried on during the day.} Jan. 19. It is generally understood that, after various preliminary conferences, iMr Deakin has agreed to join Mr Gillies in reconstructing a Ministry, It is expected that a mnjority of the Liberal party *?ill acquiesce in this arrangement, Sydney, Jan. 18. A reply has been sent accepting the offer, subject to the approval of the colonial Parliament.
