CALEDONIAN CONCERTS,

The concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings were immensely successful, both musically and financially. Some of the performers had come from as gnat a distance as Dunedin and Christchurch, and others from Temuka, AshburtoD, and Oamaru. Songs were given by Mrs Rout (Temuka), Mrs Ansley (Dunedin), Miss Currie (Christchurch), Miss Kidd (Ashburton), Miss Inness, and Miss Haisb (Timaru), Mr Branson and Mr Maclean Dunn (Ashburton), and Mr Martin (Timaru) ; duets by Miss Inness and Mifis Currie, and by Miss Inness and Mr Martin ; a quartette by Miis Inness, Miss Currie, Mr Foley audMr Warrington ; a fantasia on the flute by Mr Herd ; selections by the Timaru Garrison Band, and dances by Mr Banks, Mr Maloney, and Masters Mcßae and Thompson. Mr. Bilton played most of the accompaniments to the songs, etc., and the Society's piper, Mr Donald Macdonald, supplied the music for the dancing.
