It is essentially a LOC AL PAPER, devoted to the interests of the district. It is impossible for the papers published in large centres of population to pay the eama attention to the requirements of the district an it does. The scheme of a NAIIONAL BANK—originated in its columns, and consistently advocated by it—has now been taken up in Parliament, and if it passes GREAT BENEFITS will accrue from it.
