Mr Hainilion occupied the dunr. and the meeting was opened in the usual manner by prayer, and the sinking »i! iiymns, which Miss Blvih acciunpniied <>n the harniiinium. Ex elhnt spe< ches wendelivered by the Revs. Messrs ELunilio", Currie and Ro'hwell, in the couise of which they pointed out the evils of iutemperance, and urged upon those present to don the bine and give up drink. The speeches were characterised by earnestness and ability seldom met with at the same meetings before. Several amusing recitations were given and many hymns sung, and the proceedings came to a close in the usual manner.
